Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays From all of us at Podium
It may be too late to ask for gifts but we've already treated ourselves with exciting new technology for the New Year.
In order to keep offering top notch performance lab services, we're upgrading!
The Computrainer has served us well but its time for something a little smarter.
We have decided to step up to a new Tacx Neo Smart trainer for Performance Lab testing. We will also have the trainer available for bike fits, sweat tests and pre/post glycogen scans. The new trainer will be more accurate and has new features that we can incorporate in testing.
Along with the new trainer we will be offering a new style of testing. INSCYD looks deeper than max and threshold. With the new protocol, INSCYD puts together you're full metabolic footprint. With this data you will be able to have more accurate training zones, more efficient fueling strategies, better data and a more accurate picture of your overall fitness. We will be running a promotion in January so keep an eye out for discounts on testing.
I've talked about this device almost every week but we've officially purchased one and will be putting it to use for a variety of testing. Beyond bike fits on the new trainer the Leomo is mobile. This means we will be able to collect data from long rides to pinpoint problem areas in your biomechanics as they start to breakdown while fatigue sets in.
We're excited to bring on a Work Study Intern in the new year. Elliott Barring will be working with Podium in the performance lab while also offering comprehensive coaching plans for cyclists. Elliot himself is an accomplished cyclist and is an Exercise Physiology student at the University of North Georgia. Elliot will be coaching cyclists and mountain bikers through Podium.
You can find more information about Elliott, his racing background and coaching HERE.
Thanks for reading and have a great Holiday Season
